FAMILY PHOTOS:

Family photos are one of the most important parts of the day, but can also be one of the most stressful. To make it less hectic, I ask that you prepare a small list of family members you would like to appear in your family photos. I would also like for you to name "helpers" for this portion of the day to avoid you and your new spouse to be calling out names. It is best to have one helper for each side of the family. Also, make sure it is someone that has a rather demanding voice and not so much on the shy side. These people will be my superheroes - they will help me to get everyone together. It is helpful to give each of them a copy of their side of the "list" (preferably on paper) that has every single family combination you want in your photos and have them coordinate those people into those groups. You and your family know your dynamic best so I want to be sure these photos turn out exactly the way you envision. It always stinks when we might miss a certain family photo, so a list is always great to make sure we avoid this. Please name both helpers below, and specify which side they will be helping on!

TIMING TIPS:

The Family: I recommend you leave at least 20 minutes of room for family photos with a small family, and 35 minutes with a large family. I do it as fast as I can, but sometimes it gets a bit wild with everyone together! Bridal Portraits (1:1's): I also recommend you carve out 20-30 minutes during your reception where we can slip away for sunset photos. For example, if the sun sets at 7pm, I recommend scheduling from 6:45pm-7:15pm for me to steal you away from the reception and get photos in the most gorgeous lighting of the entire day. I promise these photos are SO worth it and will be some of your favorites from the day, and it's also a really special time to just be alone and enjoy some time together.

Timeline is SOOOOO important, not just for you, but for me too! I use your timeline to navigate throughout the day and make sure I am always in the right place at the right time. If you have any basic timelines for the day that you would be gracious enough to share with me in the field below, this would help me greatly in creating a more specific timeline that we can all follow!
